Overview

Elevating Northlands Shopping Centre’s food and beverage offering, the Langdons Quarter precinct brings a new level of activated dining along with greater connections to a previously underutilised area within the centre.

Residing in a voluminous area below the centre’s cinema, the dining precinct offers twelve food and beverage options situated around a communal dining space; newly constructed buildings house three new eateries facing the street, which provide a more intimate dining experience and extended opening hours.

Inside, a raw and muted material palette allows the eye to be drawn to the structural steel brace frames and vibrant suspended greenery and foliage, creating a compelling juxtaposition between industrial and botanic design elements.

A raised central timber seating zone draws diners into the heart of the precinct and a variety of seating configurations and planters delineate spaces and offer options for many eating styles. The lighting strategy highlights focus points in the space, and the use of LED and DALI controlled lights provides for user comfort and maximum flexibility.

The resulting space is open and energetic while still possessing an intimacy which makes it well placed to cater for everyone from solo diners on their lunch break to those looking to catch up with friends and family before exploring the centre’s retail offering.
