The $120M Stage 20 development of Northland Shopping Centre has repositioned the centre to an increasingly sophisticated demographic. It is the largest redevelopment to be undertaken since the centre opened in 1966.
A new Fashion Precinct and a total 20 683m² of new GLA has been added to the centre, anchored by a new Target store, Fresh Food precinct, Coles supermarket, and 1st Choice Liquor store. The new Fashion Mall is highly contemporary, with good natural light, natural ventilation, high shopfronts and wide malls punctuated by customer lounges, kiosks and cafes. The Fresh Food Precinct has open tenancies, timber panelling, clerestory windows and natural ventilation.
The staged development was completed in November 2009.
