For nearly ten years Buchan has been developing a network of clients and collaborators in India, amassing an impressive portfolio of projects in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai, across a range of our services including architecture, interior design, master planning, urban design and brand experience.
We recognise and have tailored our approach to the opportunities that the second-highest urban population in the world presents, as it seeks a proliferation of urban modernisation schemes. This goes beyond the population numbers involved – significant as they are – to respond to the increasing demand for high quality, sustainable developments which will support growth sectors including I.T. retail, consulting, hospitality, health and e-commerce.
These opportunities create more channels for Buchan to demonstrate our expertise, skills and technologies to improve urban design, create smarter cities and enhance community access to services; but just as importantly, it gives us a chance to explore new ways to live, work, play and learn which can be applied in Australia and internationally.
Being a part of the Australia India Business Exchange 2020 is key to meaningful market exploration and to facilitate genuine connections with local industry partners. As the gap between demand and supply for premium products and services in India continues to grow, Buchan is taking a global approach to strengthening our relationships, building on the momentum of our current projects across India. This includes Festival City Mall – a new lifestyle and retail hub, and the luxuriously detailed Ushera Residences in Chennai; the design of the Pune Convention Centre, and a commercial office interiors project for Shell in Bangalore; as well as recent collaboration on the masterplan for the Ghansoli Mall with our alliance partner Nikken Sekkei where we are progressing through the next stages of design as retail specialists.
