Grand Central Shopping Centre has been recognised with a Regional Commendation for Commercial Architecture at the 2019 Australian Institute of Architects Awards in Queensland’s Darling Downs / West Moreton Region.
The design of the centre celebrates natural light and materials featuring timber ceilings illuminated by a skylight and south light windows which run the full length of the space. Retail sightlines are maximised with generous shopfront heights providing a spacious and relaxing shopping experience.
Buchan provided architectural and interior design services for the project, in collaboration with fjmt studio, who designed the facades and civic spaces. Congratulations to our client QICGRE on this outstanding achievement.
