Invercargill Central SOD turning ceremony another project milestone

Invercargill Central held a sod-turning ceremony yesterday marking another milestone for the eagerly awaited project. The celebration caps off a busy past couple of weeks which have seen Amalgamated Builders starting to put up the precast walls for the Farmers building and the car park foundation being poured.

Once complete, the redevelopment will see the urban fabric of the city centre transformed into a walkable precinct which will bring increased retail, hospitality, civic, entertainment, residential and commercial amenity to the area, enhancing liveability, community, neighbourhood and enduring opportunity.
