The design of Yamanto Central Shopping Centre’s new outdoor dining precinct has been revealed. Scheduled to open in 2021, the new space will accommodate around 300 diners and features both an undercover outdoor area, as well as an open air grassed space which includes picnic spots, seating and a play area for kids to congregate while parents enjoy a meal.
“Our approach with the dining precinct was to foster a comfortable environment that evokes a backyard spirit; somewhere that can host the individual or family activities, amongst an eclectic mix of food offerings and spaces. It avoids pretension, but instead looks to provide a public space where one can genuinely relax and take ownership of their piece of turf under a tree,” Buchan Principal Todd Crighton said about the design.
