Overview

When designing mixed-use developments, it’s important to get the mix right.

Buchan’s concept is a theatre-oriented urban space where people fuse shopping, living, working and dining. The seven-level retail podium serves as the backbone of the project and forms a strongly curved axis oriented toward the river. The curved roof terrace provides an unparalleled setting and modern luxurious lifestyle centre with 24-hour activity. The three-level covered amphitheatre seats more than 1,000 guests and there are venues for bowling and other activities.

The exterior facades of the 21-level office tower feature an elegant vertical articulated design. They combine two-toned glass and concrete panels, the balance of solid panels with vision glass determined by the energy rating design for the development.

The style complements the adjacent iconic Fuji Television headquarters. Fuji Television is the major tenant of the new tower that links to adjacent retail and events spaces.

The project is in the Odaiba district of Tokyo and occupies a prominent location on the Bayshore Expressway and Tokyo Bay.
