Buchan’s design for the bar evokes a journey along the ancient spice route that streams through Asia to the Far East. Museum grade antiques, including gold leaf coated columns from a Middle Eastern palace, hand carved 350 years old Indian temple stones and a vast copper pot that once cooked meals for a whole village, are some of the features of the richly detailed settings along with lush fabrics, custom-designed furniture and subtle gold finishes. Timbers, metal screens and subtle lighting add to the feeling of an exotic world.
The impressively large, split-level space features an open kitchen, lines of private rooms and a range of seating options – bar, couches, upholstered chairs, ottomans, benches, banquettes. The result is an opulent, luxurious fit-out.
